Rarg is a gentle, friendly zombie pigman. He was a captain in EnderStar's army, which he later deserted, and joined the mobs of Lavacrest.
He brought the enemy's treasury with him; diamonds, emeralds, potions, etc and most importantly, an adamant Shard of the Divine Blade Critbringer.
Grayfellow declared that destiny had brought Rarg to them, and ordered that no harm will come to him. He later befriended Eeebs.

Rarg has a golden helmet and a sword. He betrayed Enderstar as he brought his whole treasury to Lavacrest.
He could be seen as a traitor on the enemy side as he defected and carried with him much of Enderstar's treasury to Lavacrest.
