Runt Ironfurnace (more commonly called Runt) is a male villager that was born and raised in Villagetown and is the protagonist of the Wimpy Villager and Diary of an 8-bit Warrior series. He pursues his dreams of becoming a warrior as he gradually trains and gains experience. After graduating, he becomes captain of a team of his best friends and is now headed to Aetheria City to attend the Greater Aetherian Academy, somehow managing to become part of the Lost Legion along the way. Runt is part of the Prophecy, as one of the twelve descendants of the legendary heroes. He and Breeze are an "item" (couple). He owns a pet baby slime named Jello and a pet kitten named Fluffles. He discovered the Rocket Potion.
Appearance[]
Runt is a typical shaven, large-nosed male villager. He later goes shopping with one of his friends, Emerald, and they purchase ninja suits for him and his friend Stump, which they each dye their suits blue and red, respectively. In Quest Mode, he is seen digging through a donation hole or the "free cool stuff" pile with Breeze, trying to find any armor. He eventually picks a suit of cursed iron armor. In Forging Destiny, Brio crafted him a full set of Gemwrought Mail, along with giving him an overpowered Batwing Cloak and Kolbert's red scarf. Kolbert never mentions it after that.
Personality[]
Runt has a friendly, cocky, and headstrong personality. He likes challenges but is sometimes a bit nervous when he encounters them such as the Tomb of The Forgotten King. He cares about his friends very much and is loyal and friendly. After becoming one of four Captains, Runt becomes more serious but still retains his cocky personality. He dislikes the cat Eeebs, mostly since he reminds him of all the mob attacks. However, they are supposed to eventually get along, as Eeebs is supposed to serve Runt; they were meant to end the war together. However, it is found out that there are way more characters then just those 2.
Runt is seen as a highly innovative individual with extremely strong potential as an adventurer, and possibly a Knight of Aetheria. He caught the capital's eye when one of its scouts told the story of a thirteen-year-old boy defeating a servant of Herobrine in a duel in Owl's Reach, then embarking on a dungeon quest and returning alive.
Skills[]
Runt's most notable skills are his combat (specifically his quick and critical thinking while engaged in such), his writing and his art. During his time at Villagetown, it is shown that his skills are well balanced, with his Combat being the highest prior to graduation. However, he is lacking in skill compared to those such as Ophelia, Cogboggle and Breeze, despite being higher level than the former two. Still, Runt has demonstrated creativity and quick thinking during battle; Such as when he took down Urkk with a mushroom, some bonemeal, and TNT or when he singlehandedly destroyed the slime wall attack with an enderpearl and flint and steel. Because of this, Runt is among the highest level students in Villagetown.
