Lorica Academy Overview
The Greater Academy strives to prepare aspiring young heroes for the rigorous life of an adventurer. During times of war, it works closely with the royal council and the many guilds to train thousands of commoners as adventurers, who will support the kingdom's military using whatever skills they posses. Some of these young trainees were drafted -- sometimes, even before graduation -- and invited to very prestigious guilds such as the Knights of Aetheria and the Holy Order of Dawnblaze. Many trainees joined craft guilds and assisted the kingdom as a blacksmith, stone mason, alchemist or other such profession.
You will also be able to unlock your visual enchantment at the Eternal Tower if you are a student at the Academy. The Academy is open to all races, and has a uniform policy depending on your class.
The symbol is the Silver Phoenix and includes many more classes than the ones shown above.
Benefits[]
Along with the opportunity to learn in The Greater Aetherian Academy, there are many benefits that come with being a student at the Academy. This includes:
- A free capital weapon that will typically be better than what they had prior to joining,
- A protective amulet that can cast a protective shield spell once per day,
- The Adventurer Certification,
- Training on the first floor of the Maze (a large dungeon recently discovered under the capital).

The campus consists of many different rooms, classes, and dorms.
Abilities I class
Classrooms[]
Places like the artisans hall, alchemy lab, lyre hall, sword hall, and magic hall are all indoor classrooms used for training. These are halls. The training grounds and arena are both outdoor training places.

Dorms[]
These dorms are group dormitories, spread across beds, desks, and is very spacious. These rooms have luxurious decor. The rooms come with golden baths, robes, and slippers.

There are an unknown amount of cadets in the academy. Each cadet has an upgraded or higher level of classes, also containing new, difficult, topics. Each cadet is recognized with a corresponding pendant.
The first cadet courses
Courses: First Cadet[]
The first cadet classes are as follows, Abilities I, Traversal I, World Studies, Monster Studies, and Swordplay I-III. Abilities I shows a basic understanding of the magic skill, how to use physical abilities and spells, as well as how to learn and gain them. Traversal trains your movement, and how you can traverse your surroundings and all terrain. World Studies shows a comprehensive view of not only Lorica, but Aetheria as a whole, covering geography, history, and forming. Monster Studies gives a look into the anatomy of the monster, including possible weaknesses and more. It also include their phycological process, providing an understand for how they act and think. Swordplay is a course that teaches the use of a weapon for self defense, offense, and proper form. Depending on previous training classes may be move to a higher level.

The Lorica Academy uniform consists of an academy issued armor set, a sword, and your cadet pendant. The armor and sword is given to even the playing feild and let everyone have even equipment.
The armor is made of gambeson, a type of material made from lots of sewn together layers, that protects and is light. It is issued in diamond blue and forest green colors. It contains a golden feather on top of the hat for a flourish. The boots are brown. Gold color is also scattered around.
Academy issued swords
The sword comes in either gold or blue in color and is light. It can be said to feel almost flimsy.
History[]
On the 15th Day of Frost Harvest, every city, town and village with more than 100 doors was required to send "fifteen of its finest young men and women to the capital" for training, in addition to the people that join the Academy voluntarily. This was due to the Realm Levy, an effort to raise more manpower due to the world situation devolving into the current and potentially Third Great War.
